Alla fine dell’ultima tappa del primo Abu-Dhabi Tour, vinta in volata dall’italiano Elia Viviani (Sky) il quale ha vinto anche la maglia verde della classifica a punti, è stato Esteban Chaves, colombiano della Orica-GreenEdge, a vincere la classifica generale. Precedendo di 16″ un altro italiano, Fabio Aru. Chaves ha vinto anche la maglia bianca di miglior giovane.
