Tadej Pogacar, der erst 23-jährige Slowene, der aber schon um seinen dritten Tour-Sieg fährt, muss sich alleine gegen die massiven Angriffe der Jumbo-Visma-Mannschaft wehren. Am Galibier pariert er nicht eine, nicht zwei, sondern rund zehn Attacken von seinem Landsmann Primoz Roglic und dem Vorjahres-Zweiten Jonas Vingegaard. Es ähnelt einem Kampf zwischen einem Rudel Wölfe und einem Bären. Der Bär könnte jeden Wolf einzeln locker mit seinen Tatzen erledigen, aber gemeinsam könnten ihn die Wölfe solange traktieren, bis sie den Bären am Boden haben. Ein Spektakel. Endlich steckt der Fahrer im Gelben Trikot, dieser so übermächtige, nein, so übermenschlich wirkende Pogacar in der Klemme.
