One undeniable improvement is how quickly the 510 connects to orbiting satellites.
While the 500 relies only on traditional GPS, the 510 supplements that with Russia's
GLONASS satellite network. The end result is far speedier satellite locks and better
reliability in areas with spotty line-of-sight. We consistently established a satellite lock in about 14 seconds when outdoors just a
few seconds quicker than with a 500. More impressively, that
time barely crept up while
we were indoors next to a window, while the 500 took as much as three times longer
and occasionally struggled to locate us at all.
A mè basta questo per fare la mia scelta , spesso sto sotto casa sulla bici ad aspettare anche 5' che il segnale agganci , lo so abito in una zona non sempre coperta bene , poi lo userei spesso su percorsi un po coperti da boscaglia o vicino a montagne , ero in dubbio con l'810 , pero , prezzo maggiore , gps meno performante , e per quanto riguarda le mappe , ho pensato che innanzitutto viaggio sempre in zone che controllo preventivamente oppure che conosco bene , e alla peggio uso il cell che ha sia cartine sentieristiche che stradali complete , io non ho piu dubbi , appena esce lo prendo :)
